Fernando Caetano Nhassengo:
Molecular identification and resistance profile of Vibrio cholerae from aquatic environments in endemic areas in Sofala Province after cyclone Idai.
General objective: to evaluate the presence of V. cholerae in the aquatic environment in the Sofala province in places affected by cholera outbreaks after cyclone Idai. Specific objectives: to microbiologically identify the V. cholerae strains isolated in the aquatic environment; molecularly identify V. cholera strains isolated in an aquatic environment; determine the antimicrobial susceptibility profile of V. cholerae isolated in the aquatic environment; identify resistance genes of V. cholerae strains isolated in an aquatic environment.
