Suzana Lilia Macuvele (MHN):
Genetic (phylogeographical) differentiation of Prostephanus truncatus (Horn) (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae) in Moçambique.
General objective: To evaluate the phylogeographic differences between the populations of Prostephanus truncatus (Horn) in the provinces of Mozambique.
Specific objectives: to evaluate the levels of genetic divergence among P. truncatus populations in Mozambique; evaluate the structure and distribution of genetic diversity of P. truncatus in Mozambique; follow the genetic results, make inferences on the routes of introduction of the invasive species P. truncatus for the design of strategies to control or prevent invasions; identify new primers for the phylogeographic differentiation.
